Quote I got from email:
Sometimes when I reflect back on all the wine I drink I feel shamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the vineyards and all of their hopes and dreams If I didn't drink this wine, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, "It is better that I drink this wine and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver." ~ Jack Handy~ | | Yuli and Victor visited us for Easter. It's been for years we didn't spend Easter together, and Segarra was our destination for brunch after Easter Morning Service. It's a hot sunny morning, but Vivienne had fun there for face painting, eggs hunting, dancing, singing and painting the eggs. We moved to the air conditioner room to chill out. Great times with my sister and brothers. Thanks Yul, Vic, Nor! Kisses and hugs

| | Bored with our regular date after church for breakfast, and walk around at the shopping centre, I offered Vivienne for another fun. Monas Park at the Centre of Jakarta. Been there with Albert and Pram and found it as a nice and clean place. After interviewed me with some questions like "can we play hide and seek?" , "can I run around", she agreed for the new place.
Had a cotton candy for her and for me a Woody Vanilla coated with Chocolate Ice cream (for the sake of my childhood memory) we started playing there. Bought 2 kites for 2000 rupiahs each, a hand windmill for 3000 rupiah. Ended the morning on "Delman" for 20k rupiahs only, for one round at Medan Merdeka Selatan Street and singing "Pada Hari Minggu" loudly! Thanks pak Kusir, for letting my little princess sitting next to you! It's a blast and full of fun morning with her.
Any idea for our next Sunday morning?

I could see an obvious difference between boys and girls on this Valentine's Day. Almost a week ago, there's a sweet girl came and ordered our Devil Chocolate Cake for Valentine's Day. And two days ago, gave me a reminder for the cake.. -she's sweet, my thought- Until two days ago, MAMA not really busy for the Valentine's Day cakes. We displayed our special packaging of rumballs. 9 rumballs in one beautiful gold boxes, tied in pink ribbon.. Guys just back and forth, walked by the rumballs. Ok, I'll bring home for Vivienne then.
Suddenly, last nite we got a customer rush -guys, for details- ordered a cake for their wife (ah so sweet), for the girlfriend. And.. most of them asking for almost the same time. Early morning, aro 7-8 AM (must be for morning surprise), or in the afternoon aro 4-5 PM (and get ready for dinner, of course!). It's all in last minutes!!
Isn't it cute? And our cake is really a custom-made. Whatever you want us to do, we'll provide for you. Can you imagine a blackforest cake, with a white chocolate garnish on top -which is supposed to be dark chocolate-? and a White chocolate plate in a heart shape with "Be My Valentine" words? So sweet, rite?
And the sweetest thing I found last nite was, when the son ordered a Valentine's cake for his girlfriend and his mom was there and chatting with me, suddenly he came with a rumball and gave to mom, "here's for you, mom. I know tomorrow I won't be here with you for Valentine. Happy Valentine, mom" With an "idon'tcare-icanlivebymyown-ihatemymarriage" attitude from the mom, I still could see she almost burst into tears. And she could only say, "only him could give me loves and cares and vice versa"
I don't do Valentine Celebration, but for all for you, it's no harm to say: HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
Went to Aksara with Vivienne as our regular date every Sunday after church, and found an eye catching book: WHY MEN LOVE BITCHES: From a Doormat to Dreamgirl. An eyecatching book, and had a short read before Vivienne nagging asked me to read her a PeterPan book.
It's a phenomenon, as some girls, I mean, in a big percentage, tend to be so nice, so sweet and very accomodating to the guy they like... and at the end they will be taken for granted. Why? Guys are a creature of the earth, whom would be a chaser to something they cannot get. When you become very nice, and sweet, then you'll be taken for granted. When you become so devoted and bored, they'll leave you. But, when you become so mean and bitchy, they will chase you till you feel so tired and will sprain your ankle. And what's next? They will say (more to complain), "Hey girl (I'm sure the BITCH word was on their tongue tip), you're not the one and only!" Geezz.. what does man want? You guys drive us to be a bitch. I'm so sure, girls didn't born to be bitches. I WANT to be nice. I WANT to show the affection, I WANT to be romantic, and nothing wrong of being accomodated, until everything came back and bite me in the ass.
For me, I'll become a bitch when: 1. My work needs me to get focus and I don't want people to stay close to me - yaah, but not with the customers for sure- 2. I'm staying away from guy(s) -particularly- Guys are so annoying when they're after you. And you're really not into them. I'm at the stage of "I'm Enough". And need a room for myself and my bitch attitude 3. At PMS weeks. WeekS? yeah.. so better stay away from me before you the bitch in me exploded and words would kill your day.
Banjir, again!! Another story behind the Banjir of Jakarta I went to MAMA, thru the hard rain and flood with ojek. As I thought, I could reach MAMA, but until now, I still stuck in my tiny coffee shop :P The morning shift staff went home, but the afternoon shift couldn't reach the shop as the water at the street going up.. and macet everywhere.
What should I do - my mind working. Close down MAMA, but cannot do anything.Hmm.. Let me test myself, how far I can survive with the customers. Nothing to lose. If it's over my limit, just tell the customer, we are closed.
With the rules, only displayed products (cakes, ice cream), hot beverages (coffee, milk, tea) and canned/bottled beverages could be served. Tables were full, customers come and go. Serving, Cashier, cleaning up the tables, washing dishes. Me, myself, cannot believe that I could survive! MAMA closed down at 10.30 PM, as normal operation hours - with all tables still full.
Kinda proud of myself...
-anyone? triple espresso?- | | Had a small party at MAMA, with her close friends. This year with another birthday cake idea, cupcakes. Mom is in the State and asked me to make a cups-birthday-cake (so, here it is, Mom!) Thanks to Andry for helping. As years before, this year she asked for Donald and friends on the cake top. Erwin-Stella, Albert-Lily joined us. Thanks guys, it means a lot by being there with us!
Menu: Spaghetti Bolognese, French Fries and Baked Macaroni in cup ;-)

The mind is tired The heart is aching Flesh crawling for touch Hurts can't be stood Torturing the body for distraction Those bitter memories still dancing around the head Story obsoletes like the last year's autumn leaves Wound stays as a contemporary outfit
